About HDC
The Hartford Development Corporation is currently formed as a membership organization (a member is anyone who supports the stated purpose of the organization) with a board of 7-15 people to include representation from all 5 town villages, Board of Selectmen. The board elected from members, officers elected from among board members.
HDC Purpose
A group of volunteers from throughout Hartford is organized to work on revitalizing downtown White River Junction. Volunteers are organized into four working committees based upon the model used by the Vermont Downtown Designation Program. This is the "Main Street Model" which has been successfully used in 1,500 communities nationwide to encourage reinvestment in historic downtown areas.
The public is invited to attend HDC board meetings which are published on the front page of this site: hartfordvermont.org
