With over 120,000 population in the Upper Valley area, White River Junction is the growing and vibrant cultural center for both the arts and business. WRJ is home to the celebrated Northern Stage Theatre (which sells over 30,000 seats a season!), celebrating its 10th anniversary year! The village is also home to the nationally known Center for Cartoon Studies, which attracts a talented pool of young artists to the region each year along with celebrated cartoonists, editors, and artists from New York City and across the country. WRJ, it’s where the Amtrak train station is located for entire the Upper Valley.

A few stats to sweeten the deal:

  • The annual Gory Days Halloween Parade had nearly 200 in attendance! Everyone walked around the block twice and we proceeded to the Main Street Museum where the riverbank accidentally caught fire from one of the fire thrower dancers. Don’t worry, cowboy hero David Fairbanks-Ford saved the day with his fire putter outer device.
  • The smashing after hours Halloween party saw another batch of freaks and goblins at the Tip Top Café with over 100 in attendance. It was really creepy.
  • WRJs First Friday event in June (maybe plural, we’ll see) had the streets filled with folks walking form venue to venue. Music, food, and drinks were on the menu, and free everywhere! The concept: Come hungry leave starving for more.
  • Holy SoHo. The swankiest most modern condo lofts ever, exist where? Hanover, NH (aka Dartmouth College)? NO. Norwich, VT? NO. Lebanon, NH? No. White River Junction? YES!!! We like all those other places but we’re cooler. Even more so now.
  • About 2000 in attendance at Glory Days Festival each year. Not sure who they all were but the trains were full of people and kids were everywhere. Vegan and pork hot dogs were for sale on the same grill.
  • Not for certain on this one but we think WRJ has the best bagels in the universe. Most likely the Baker’s Studio sells a billion of them a year.

Other convincing points:

  • Amtrak train travel is up! Ridership (and readership for the long rides) has a three-year positive trend up. Soon the fancy new Diesel Unit Trains will roll through WRJ twice daily from NYC. Welcome to Fancy Pants USA.
  • We know. It’s a small, targeted web site. How appropriate. We’re a small village in the big sprawl of others. This sites got big reach with visitors to the region, folks doing business here or wanting to, and for the growing village of White River Junction - it is our sandwich board.

1 to 1 Marketing:

In some cases we’ll actually verbally tell people about your Internet banner ad. Example: “Hey, did you see that company X is selling stuff linked of wrj?” Go to the wrj site and check it out and, hey, “don’t forget to click!”. 1 to 1 marketing is a highly effective marketing strategy. Its like “word-of-mouth” or “buzz marketing” but better. We can literally put the banner ad in their consciousness.

Click Rate:

We're not going to give you lame stats on your "click this click that rate". It's not our style. We're more of a pencil and paper sort of group. You'll know if Norm walks in after he saw your ad or if Norma books her next hotel room with you and asks where the Bagels are. We don't promise, we deliver.

As of June 14, 2007 when you google White River Junction we were number 1 on the search engine!
