Excerpt from Valley Business Journal published on August 2, 2007: Specialties include such humorously named items as "Bleu Your Socks Off," with spice-rubbed steak quesadilla, caramelized onions, blue cheese, and lime sour cream drizzle; "Kneading Pillows of Love," with hand-rolled potato gnocchi, rock shrimp, tasso ham, and vegetable pearls; and "Spears of Ecstasy," with asparagus wrapped in fresh pasta, proscuitto, Parmesan-reggiano and spring sauce. Most of the wine is available by the glass and the bottle. Elixir also offers draft and bottled beer and martinis with appropriate regional monikers such as “"he Freight House," with Absolut vodka, house-made ginger syrup and candied ginger; “TipTopTini,” with Grey Goose vodka, chambord, pineapple juice and a twist of lemon; and “The "494," with Absolut vodka, cointreau, fresh lime juice, cranberry juice and a lime wedge.

Smaller train cars promoted for
Vermonter route
and may include 2 round trips
to/from WRJ to NYC!

Amtrak wants Vermont to participate in a rail demonstration project that would use smaller cars called diesel multiple units (DMU). The new smaller DMU passenger cars could save the state money and increase ridership on the Amtrak Vermonter passenger route. White River Junction could expand to two daily departures to/from New York City.
